Mark Shalam
Co-Director of Professional Development (S-Board)
Mark Shalam is a junior at NYU’s Stern School of Business, double-concentrating in Finance and Real Estate.
Mark first became involved with SREG as a general member during his freshman year, then participated in the Strategy Board program as a sophomore in Fall 2025. In Spring 2026, he joined SREG’s Executive Board as Co-Director of Professional Development, helping lead the Mentorship Program. Now in his junior year, Mark will help lead the Strategy Board program this semester.
Mark spent the summers of 2024 and 2025 on the acquisitions team at Wharton Properties, a prominent high-street retail investor, underwriting retail, residential, and mixed-use investments. This past summer, he joined Canyon Partners, working across its real estate opportunistic equity and credit strategies. Building on these experiences, he will join Wells Fargo’s Commercial Real Estate Debt team in Summer 2027.
Outside of real estate, Mark is an avid competitive tennis player and skier with a passion for music, spending much of his free time DJing and playing the piano.
