Eric Azrak

Co-Director of Professional Development (Mentorship)

Eric Azrak is a sophomore at NYU's Stern School of Business, minoring in Mathematics and double-concentrating in Finance and Real Estate. Since his first semester at Stern, he has been actively engaged in SREG programming, joining the Fall ’24 Mentorship class. There, he learned the ABCs of commercial real estate and financial analysis, culminating in an investigation of the Life Sciences market in Minneapolis–St. Paul. The following semester, Eric served on the Strategy Board, co-authoring a white paper presentation on distressed CLOs and upside potential in office equity tranches, while sharpening his modeling skills through technical workshops. After tremendously gaining from these programs, Eric is thrilled to return the favor as Co-Director of Professional Development.

Complementing his SREG involvement, Eric worked on the Acquisitions Team at Triangle Capital Group, an opportunistic real estate investor specializing in distressed debt and equity. His time there cultivated within him a nuanced understanding of credit instruments and an appreciation for the often-overlooked opportunities that distress can unlock. This summer, Eric will be joining Thor Equities to further develop his valuation and underwriting skills.

Eric spends most of his free time listening to podcasts, catching up on the news, discovering new music, working out, or playing tennis. He sees daily fitness as not only essential to physical but also mental health, building discipline and offering a much-needed change of pace during a long day. Eric is always eager to learn from those around him and loves the opportunity to connect with new people.
