Mark Shalam
Co-Director of Professional Development (Mentorship)
Mark Shalam is a sophomore at NYU’s Stern School of Business, double-concentrating in Finance and Real Estate, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He joined the Stern Real Estate Group during his freshman year as a general member, later participated in the Strategy Board, and now serves on the Executive Board as Co-Director of Professional Development.
Mark spent two consecutive summers on the acquisitions team at Wharton Properties, where he supported underwriting and market research across retail, mixed-use, and residential assets. Through this experience, he gained direct exposure to value-add investment strategies and live deal execution.
As Co-Director of Professional Development, Mark will lead SREG’s Mentorship Program, focusing on introducing underclassmen to real estate fundamentals and developing the technical and professional skills needed for careers across real estate and finance.
In his free time, Mark enjoys competitive tennis, skiing, DJing, and playing the piano.
